About ACSS

The Atlanta Classic Soulful Symphony (ACSS) is a premier nonprofit performance ensemble based in Atlanta, Georgia. Founded in 2022, ACSS brings together HBCU alumni musicians, professional musicians, and music educators to create a dynamic fusion of symphonic sophistication and soul-inspired sound. As a 501(c)(3) organization, ACSS enriches under-resourced communities through scholarship programs, youth mentorship, and performance opportunities that foster artistic growth and personal development. Blending the power of symphonic music with the passion of gospel, jazz, and R&B, ACSS honors the cultural heartbeat of Atlanta while inspiring audiences through excellence, creativity, and unity.

Roy Dallas

Founder & Director

Roy Dallas founded the Atlanta Classic Soulful Symphony with a vision to unite talented musicians from HBCUs and across professional music communities to uplift, educate, and inspire. A lifelong musician, educator, and community leader, his dedication to musical excellence and mentorship continues to shape ACSS into a cultural force that empowers and connects audiences through music.

The Atlanta Classic Soulful Symphony was born from a simple belief — that music has the power to heal, inspire, and unite. Our mission is not only to perform but to open doors of opportunity for young people, nurture creativity, and celebrate the beauty of our shared heritage. Every performance is a chance to remind the world that classical music and soul are not separate — they are two languages of the same powerful story.

Executive Vice President & General Manager

Horace M. Walker brings over 25 years of managerial and administrative experience from leadership roles in large corporations and faith-based organizations. Holding a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, he provides ACSS with a strong foundation in strategic planning, operations management, and organizational development. His background ensures that ACSS operates with integrity, fiscal responsibility, and excellence — aligning the Symphony's artistic vision with sound business practices and community-centered growth.
